Root canal – Endodontics
A root canal becomes necessary when a deep cavity or injury damages or infects a tooth’s dental pulp. It is the only way that the tooth can be saved.
Contrary to what many people say, root canals are not painful. In fact, any pain felt during the procedure is due to the infection affecting the tooth’s nerve. If you have an infection, we’ll prescribe antibiotics before the root canal to prevent pain during the procedure.
